Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Willingham sits. Good thing he needs some time off. It would be nice to take this series and creep a little closer.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Happy Father's Day everyone. Enjoy the game.

Corner OF / 1B / DH is the one area of major-league depth this team currently has. Anybody a little dinged up should not have to play through it. And you're right, it sure look like the Hammer isn't at full strength right now.
B Richard Provisional Member Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Why the hell has Doumit been batting third?
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Welp, there goes the no-hi.... welp, there goes the shutout.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Why the hell has Doumit been batting third? After a string of ohfers he's been hot these past three games, with a BA of .273 and an OBP of... uh .273 and a SLG of... gulp .273 for an OPS of... ugh .545... yeah, why is he even the DH?
buckninetyone Provisional Member Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 fister really doug in there
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 fister really doug in there I tip my cap to you for making a pun on his first name.
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Using 'doug' as a verb and 'fister' as the subject of a sentence is likely a bannable offense. Or one would hope.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Happy Father's Day everyone. Enjoy the game. Happy Father's Day to you Chief, and to all of the other fathers here.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 oh crap. that decided it for me. going to run an errand.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Speaking of weak, looks like the Twins offense needs a rally avatar already in the 4th inning. In running through recent Onion issues, I ran across this graphic that serves well to explain the popularity of our favorite avatar.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 The Twins need to at least break up the perfect game.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Nice catch by Clete -- but should have thrown to first.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 The Twins need to at least break up the perfect game. Doumit, the perfect-game killer. BTW, on ESPN today I saw a rerun of their E:60 short feature, "Perfect Game". A really well-crafted film, I thought.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Mauer guns down Jhonny going to third on a strikeout. Just a hit-and-run, or did they think they'd catch Joe napping with two strikes?
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Dozier, the no-hitter and shutout killer.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Three innings to make up a 4-1 deficit. Hardly out of reach, but I wish the team's offense so far this season offered much cause for optimism.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Hmm ... I thought by running an errand the Twins would score a ton of runs in my absence. I'll take one over none, though.

glunn Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 We need 2 volunteers to go on errands this inning.
