Maybe they're starting to figure something out at the plate and it carries over to this afternoon. As bad as the bats have been, if they can come out of this stretch at 4-6, it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Thought Varland was okay but you can't hang center-cut fastballs against the Dodgers. Two bad pitches and that was that.
