Dennesey55347 Verified Member Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 Not even remotely close. Our team leader had a meager 66 RBI...for the season...in back to back seasons. Runs leader fared a little better and the offense as a whole was OK, but without eye-popping numbers studs or anyone opposing pitchers fear (for good reason), we're like middle of the pack. Not even sure how championship could be in the same sentence as Twins without firing up the VCR. Also, take a look at the World Series managers since 2000. Mostly names any baseball fan would recognize instantly.
Doctor Wu Verified Member Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 As things stand, I'd say no. But a healthy full season of Buxton, Correa, and Lewis, combined with good performances from Julien, Wallner, Jeffers, and some combination of Kepler and/or Gordon (if either is still with the team in April) will be HUGE. That said, my main worry remains the starting pitching. Lots of potential to be good, but not great, And lots of potential to melt down too.

Versatile and has a very strong competitive edge that we need.
