Oh come on

Kirk’s going to be 36 next year. Except for a couple of modern all time great HOFers, you don’t want to commit 36-year-old QBs to multi year deals.

Even two years? It looks like there is way more talent on the roster than it appeared even 4-5 weeks ago. Seems like rebuild is out the window. This could be a playoff team now

KOC clearly elevated Kirk’s game to another level. He made Hall look like a capable QB, and let Dobbs play backyard football to pretty good results. He’s gonna do great with a highly drafted QB of his choosing.

Will he ever get one of those? Not looking good for this years draft

So how the hell were they able to quickly get to the line and run plays that last drive?

Usually they blow five seconds a play while we see Cousins covering his ear holes looking frustrated. I’m not blaming Kirk, but whatever they were doing with Dobbs was different.

I don’t want to wait two years before they start building for a Super Bowl.

Only if you think there are only two QBs in the draft who could turn out to be elite.

This draft is deep with QB prospects. I’ve got 5 I would be thrilled if the Vikings drafted this spring.

Ya, this is the year to need a QB and not be historically bad.

We’re already at 5 wins. Finishing with 8 or 9+, I’m not sure there will be any available. There are whooooole lot of teams that need quarterbacks. There might be two just in our own division

Yeah, I can do five, and then there's at least four more that I can easily see me getting excited about between now and the draft.

Even if they re-sign Cousins or Dobbs, Hall comes back and looks great or they do something silly like trade for Murray, I still want them grabbing one of these guys; this is a really deep class and odds are that more than one team will hit the jackpot.

Five QBs aren't going before the Vikings pick, even if they pick 32.

And if the Bears and Cardinals pick the top two QBs, Fields, Murray and Cousins will most likely be on a QB needy team.

Teams that could draft a QB IMO:

Patriots, jets, Steelers, raiders, Washington, giants, packers, bears, falcons, Tampa, Carolina, Arizona, and possibly the rams

All those teams with the exception of maybe Pittsburgh will probably finish ahead of us

Some of those teams will fill it with free agents like Kirk, others will trade for someone like Fields or Murray. And others will forgo taking a QB because they’re so far away from being any good.

So negative.

That many teams 'needing' a QB isn't abnormal, yet 13 teams drafting a 1st round QB would be a record. I think five is the most ever.

And Washington and Carolina are not drafting a 1st round QB in any but the most insane scenario.

How is that negative lol it’s just the reality of what’s happening. QB driven league. You can’t win with a bad one. Teams often overdraft for QBs. Anthony Richardson went #4 last year.

Im just saying, you guys expect the Vikings to be able to have their pick of the better team QBs if they go and win 8-9 games. I wouldn’t be so sure about that

Washington good with Sam Howell? He was drafted in the 5th round. Why couldn’t they draft another? Especially when they just traded a couple of their best players. Bryce young has been terrible for Carolina. I think the patriots are done with Mac Jones. Tampa ok with baker mayfield? I don’t think the Steelers love Kenny Pickett, but yes they could get a cousins or Murray. The cardinals are actively tanking.

Because every post is that it won't be good.

Because we’re winning, which I throughly enjoy. And the schedule is conducive to more wins (although the injuries are really piling up). The Vikings would probably be favored in 5 of their last 8 games. Two with Detroit and 1 in cincy are the only games I would EXPECT a loss. Is a 5-3 finish out of the question? Even going .500 or would be 9 wins. Would provably have us picking around 20th or so.

Carolina isn't drafting another QB after ONE season with the #1 overall pick. Never. Everyone in that building would be fired. Mostly because they don't HAVE a first round pick because they traded it to get Young.

Have you seen Sam Howell play? He's not the problem on that team and has been really good outside of the Buffalo game. Even if Washington was foolish enough to get rid a 23-year-old who looks like he's going to be a top ten guy before too long, he'll join Cousins, Fields and Murray as a starter on another QB needy team.

Also, Howell being drafted in the 5th round just shows that when there's not a consensus, like there isn't this year, teams can get the best QB in the draft later. Plenty of people pegged Howell as the best QB of that class, which was 10x weaker than this class.

I didn’t know that about Carolina not having a first round pick.

Howell is going to be a top 10 guy soon? Sheesh kirk can’t even get into a lot of top 10 lists.

So who’s definitely drafting a QB in round one? Bedsides Arizona
