I parked at a place with a shuttle and it was a breeze getting in and out.

Though we live in Como Park, we drive to the Presbyterian church on Larpenteur and shuttle in and out. Will do enough walking at the Fair; needn't walk to the gate.

Looks like Cleveland is gonna lose, if the Twins win they will be up 7 games I believe

They lost -- Cleve and Texas seem determined to puke up their chances.

I got 13k steps just at the fair. It’s the only way I am justifying eating what I did today.

I don’t know why people want to try getting that close with their own vehicles! I parked at a place with a shuttle and it was a breeze getting in and out.

If you arrive very early park very close. Otherwise the shuttle is the way to go.

Joe Ryan experience is back in full swing, hopefully mad max’s pitch count gets too high or this will be a long day.

Congrats to Herr Kepler.

Not only was Max’s home run last night a milestone, at career No. 150, but it gave him 449 career RBIs, moving him past Glenn Hubbard to become the all-time leader among players born in Germany.

He has long been the career leader in homers, topping second (Mike Blowers, 78) and third (Hubbard) combined.

He’s also passed good old Pretzels Getzein for second among hitters in bWAR and is within about .6 of Hubbard for first. Pretzels also picked up a good number of bWAR on the hill.

CC sprinted over from SS while Polanco ran to second so that Correa could make that relay.  Amazing play.

That was an interesting and great relay play.

Polanco could not have gotten that runner at home.

I bet they have that rotation setup just for that reason.  Good coaching too.

There's a fine line between plate discipline and excessive passivity.

Julien takes too many called strikes.

He had the home run last night but the other four were strike outs.

Apparently Pretzels Getzein had a pretty odd curveball back in the 1800s. From Wikipedia:

During his career, Getzien drew acclaim for his curveball. Getzien's version of the pitch was sometimes referred to as the "pretzel curve."[5][8]Sporting Life described Getzien's unusual delivery as follows: "In delivering his 'pretzels' 'Getz' faces third base with one foot in either corner of the lower end of the box. Bending the left knee slightly, he draws his right arm well back. Then, straightening up quickly, he slides the left foot forward with a characteristic little skip, and, bringing his arm around with a swift overhand swing, drives the ball in at a lively pace."
