Yeah, he was a fun guy to watch. I think I remember he was a light-hitting utility guy when he came up and then developed into a pretty good hitter.

What's more impressive?  Maeda 5 shutout innings in his 1st mlb start since April or Ryan's complete game shutout vs Red Sox. I wasn't optimistic about Maeda but I'll go with Ryan

Ryan.  CG's are rare the way MLB is played today.  A CG shutout is a unicorn.
