stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Dozier for Carroll. Basically sticking with what worked last night.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 In hopes of propelling the Florimonster to another good game, I would like to repeat what I said yesterday: Wish we'd get to the point where we know exactly what Floriman is."If he doesn't get some hits pronto, that point may be arriving Real Soon Now."
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Lackey's got some swing-and-miss stuff going there. Well, look-and-sit-down stuff, that other time.
Top Gun Provisional Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Twins general manager Terry Ryan said Kyle Gibson is not an option to replace Pedro Hernandez in the rotation. Gibson tossed a shutout Wednesday at Triple-A Rochester and now boasts a 3.32 ERA and 35/11 K/BB ratio over 40 2/3 innings. Even though it appears he won't be called up soon, the righty is a good bet to spend significant time with the big club this season. Source: Rhett Bollinger on Twitter
Top Gun Provisional Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Tim Wood has been shut down from his rehab assignment after developing more soreness in his pitching shoulder. He'll be examined at the Twins' Triple-A affiliate in Rochester. Wood is coming back from a rotator cuff strain and had allowed six runs over his last three rehab appearances. Source: LaVelle E. GCTF Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Was the rest of baseball undervaluing ugly players? The Sawks seem to have cornered the market.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Wood is coming back from a rotator cuff strain This was after he signed with the Twins, not before, right? Twins signed multiple rehab projects but I thought Wood was not one of them.

ashbury Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 This game so far reminds me a lot of the game last night. In that both were played with a white ball, by teams of 9 men per side. / plus the DH
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Quiet, Jenny Dell is on. Great. Another aspect to factor into my internal debate about the cost to benefit ratio of investing in a 3D TV.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 You know, despite my good-luck message for Florimon above, I was about to post that he's not going to be the one who'll break up the no-hitter. Glad I didn't jinx him.
big dog Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Hicks really hit that ball hard and Lackey snagged it. Now Florimon runs one between his legs. Let's keep trying him.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 9, 2013 Author Posted May 9, 2013 Apparently everyone is still exhausted from last night's game. Pretty quiet in here (and on the field).
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Dinner's over, game is on, pants are off.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Some sort of server problem for TD? Massive internet outage? American Legion Smelt Fry's going on all over the Midwest tonight? Where is everyone?
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Apparently everyone is still exhausted from last night's game. Pretty quiet in here (and on the field). Home team's up. Let's keep it that way.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Dinner's over, game is on, pants are off. TMI there at the last.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 TMI there at the last. Says the guy who let us know he searches the internet for pics while topless.
big dog Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Oh man, if I only knew where there was a smelt fry in my area...mmmmmm, smelt.....
mikeee Provisional Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 There's probably just a whole lot more to say when there are 15 runs and 20 hits for the home guys!
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Says the guy who let us know he searches the internet for pics while topless. Pantsless > Topless
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 There's probably just a whole lot more to say when there are 15 runs and 20 hits for the home guys! You haven't been to many game threads, have you?
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Correia finds out the hard way he can't keep walking that tightrope. Now it's up to the offense, and Florimon won't be up again for 6 or 7 innings.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Where the Twins playing a full shift on Ortiz? EDIT: Nope, just checked the replay. SS on the LF side of 2nd.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 You haven't been to many game threads, have you? Not this year. lol
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Seems that Mauer can be pitched to, at least tonight.
