Dave The Dastardly Verified Member Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 God, that photo looks like a pending double-groiner pull! Lord have mercy! Makes me flinch just looking at it. Pulled one myself in my mid-forties. Doc told me it would take 6 months to recover. I protested. Told him professional athletes recover in a third of that time. Doc told me Number One; you're not a professional athlete, Number Two; you're in your forties, you're lucky you still have a groiner to pull, Number Three; you've never stuck with the physical therapy I've prescribed for your past coaching-related injuries so six months would be a gift in your case. Doc was wrong... took me 7 months to fully recover. But a double groiner-pull? Shoot me! Seth Stohs, IndyTwinsFan and weitz41 2 1

I followed that link because I thought I remembered Holland being a prospect of some note a few years ago. Apparently he's a fast runner but hasn't really hit at any level yet. I am surprised by this, though I also have no idea how they are so often correct when there are multiple players with the same names.

I think 26-27 is a better spot for this season. Sure maybe for fill in guys, but the problem with that statement is that the two rookie of years players are 21 and missed that same year. Royce Lewis miss that year and another year and now another year and still isn't 25. The Covid year hurt that guys that move though a system slow spend a couple of years in the majors (Maybe) and turn into backups or AAAA players. Real studs or even guys that have a chance to spend years in the majors just hit or pitch and make the majors. Winning teams are keeping this old of prospects on their 40 man (unless its a catcher or somebody like Canterino).
Billy Amick Wichita Wind Surge - AA 1B/3B Despite hitting just .194, the 23-year-old ranks fourth in the Texas League in Home Runs (17) and sixth in RBI (50). Explore Billy Amick News >
