Plouffe and Parmelee are doing an amazing job of staying in that limbo between "quality starting MLB player" and "good god, make him go away forever".

I'm more optimistic about Parmelee, partly because I think he's playing out of position, but I would sure like to see both do well. We could use the help.

 

Gardy's not having trouble finding ways to let Arcia hit. Nice to see.

The problem with Parmelee is that if he moves to his "natural" position, he has to hit a hell of a lot more than he does right now. At least with Plouffe, you can deal with a .740 OPS if he figures out how to play third but .740 isn't going to cut it from your first baseman.
