Game Thread: Dodgers @ Twins 640 PM 4/12/2022

I never, ever, never, ever thought the game would be played tonight. It is raining where I live and raining in Minneapolis according to weather.com. This is the Dodgers only visit to MN, so they apparently are going to extraordinary lengths to get the game in. I hope no one gets hurt. 

Archer makes his debut for the Twins.

I never used to mind, but old age (or common sense?) has led me to the point that I don't like being uncomfortably cold and wet. This is a big issue in Portland during the fall soccer season. I used to referee games (in shorts, of course) on the worst of days and not be bothered. Now I tend to stay home when it's cold and wet even though I could bundle up in the stands.

Cautiously optimistic about Archer. However, not against the Dodgers. Also don't think we get through 5 innings.

A lot of fans are going to be pissed if players get injured tonight. Rained all afternoon, still raining lightly with a severe thunderstorm watch til midnight. Heavy t-storms expected before 8 pm.

Probably a great discussion topic. Many factors involved in whether a game is played. If they had other easy chances to make this one up they definitely wouldn't be playing tonight.

Just out of curiosity I looked up when the first Toyota Jan commercial was produced: 2012. Laurel Coppock, the actress who plays her, certainly found a gravy train with that gig.

I remember a Matt LeBlanc interview where he said his Heinz commercial allowed him to be able to eat for a few years while he was trying to make it big.  That was just one commercial that ran a couple of years, People like Flo who manage to be a spokesperson for years probably have a nice steady income that allows them to act in theater productions that don't pay as well.
