If you were Gardy, what would you say to the team after tonight's game?

Team... It really wasn't that cold. Snepp had it much worse with an ice storm and he showed to play.

Tonight I am glad that I have been holding on to my low expectations for this season. And I hope that there is a team meeting before they board the plane tonight.

I do find some comfort in that it wasn't the pitching that let us down the past couple of games, but the batters.

I wonder how long before we start getting some "Fire Brunansky" threads?

Alright gather round... Watch this... I can turn my eyelids inside out. I'm a zombie... I'm a zombie.

Yes, I now see the wisdom in the earlier comment to fire him if he takes advice from TD.

I would jump on Doumits back and say "I'm riding a furry tractor".

The Twins will probably lose tonight but you have made me smile so much with your humor that I feel less bad than normally.

Annnnd... Rally Avatar is down.

Really not sure what to do with her. She has failed as a starter and now as a closer. Promising rookie, but a proper role must be determined.

Edit: Yesterday's rally avatar will not return. In scouting terms, didn't have the good face. Today's, my scouts inform me, does not suffer from that defect, and appears to have good makeup as well.

How many more games before Hicks gets sent down?

The Twins ran through the AAA stop sign and sent him to the home opener, so I'm sure they can ignore a 57 cent batting average and 50% K rate for several more series. After all, it's just cybermetrics.

Also, who would they bring up to replace him?

Swept by the baby blues....:mad::cry:

They will be improved enough in 2013 that there will be less shame in this one than in some of the other broomings the Twins are due for...

Look at it this way... Real bad hitters hit around .180. No one hits .057... 2 hits in 35 at bats...

So to raise that average to .180... He will have to go 7 for 15.

7 for 15 will be a nice hot streak. May win us a game or two.

He's comin.

This is sound baseball logic and can not be refuted.

You're right, the stars will almost certainly align soon in a way that brings the ball in contact with Hicksie's bat at a higher rate, leading to the belief by the Twins that he suddenly 'gets it', thereby prolonging the inevitable to everyone's detriment. But hey, good defense in CF.

Seriously... I think he will be in Rochester real soon. I mean real soon. It's gotta be killing the kid.

Rick Ankiel has 12 k's in 14 trips to the plate.

Rick Ankiel may go down in history as the most out of control baseball player ever.

Pitcher... Rushed to the big leagues only to miss the strike zone by yards consistently...

Re-invents himself and makes it back to the big leagues with prodigious power only to produce strike outs at a stunning rate.

He's like "the natural" but completely flawed.

Got a late start and had to watch via tape delay. What a waste of DVR space.

Not to mention that it will now, given your prodigious memory, be with you forever.

Lucky you.

It's too bad the Mets travel on to Denver, otherwise they could drop Hicks off at Rochester on their way home Sunday night.

Why do I feel a Clete Thomas renaissance in the making?

Gardy was not happy with the Hicks duck walk into 2B in the 7th. Rookies tend to not like Gardy's doghouse.
