Billy Hamilton of the Reds was released today and looking at his stats I found this out. He never led the league in stolen bases. He was second five times. I would've guessed a lot of money that he was #1 a few times.

Can you name the three players who did lead the league in those years?

Interesting, yeah I would have thought he lead the league nearly every year.

Can I do another one that I came across today? While noticing that Milwaukee traded Mitch Hanigar mid season in 2014, I was wondering if the Twins would have had anyone that may have interested the Brewers at that time. Without looking, does anyone know who lead the Twins in OPS* in 2014? And it wasn't even close, runner up was .52 points behind.

*With more than 8 plate appearances

If it were possible to steal first base, Hamilton might have lead the league every season of his career. The sub-300 OBP puts a severe hurt'in on the stolen base numbers.

Here's one...

Billy Hamilton would need to steal 637 more bases to catch which hall-of-fame outfielder from the turn of the century? (No, not this century.  The other one.)

I guessed correctly and then checked to see if I was right: Billy Hamilton!

(No, not this Billy Hamilton.  The other one.)
