The Players Voice appears to be the Australian version of the Players Tribune. Wow, just seeing the name of Luke Hughes again shook me awake. Short but interesting article. Thanks for posting that, Seth! Hughes mentioned that he first got the word that he was being called up to the Twins by his AAA manager, Tom Nieto. Yet another name that brought back many memories!

I used to watch a lot (edit: a half dozen games per year) of Aussie baseball when MLBN showed games in the middle of the night and the just love Hughes over there.

 

Some of the most entertaining postseason action I've seen is actually from their World Series. It's good stuff.

I saw Luke Hughes absolutely crush a home run in AA when they were playing at the Trenton Thunder. We lost the game but Hughes looked like a future MLer and a lot of the other guys didn't.
