This is 6 straight games of mediocre to awful for this defense.

How many does that streak have to reach before we acknowledge that it's just not a good defense anymore?

I think the Bills and Josh Allen already told you.

 

Side note, just landed, and see the Barr is continuing where he left off. It was a good run boys. Can't win with terrible lbs and oline. Try next year I guess.

I already came to that conclusion.

But everyone keeps telling me this is still a good defense. I'm trying to figure out why.

Zimmer being badly out coached. Two of those were Barr covering aWR.

Exactly. He already got torched once not sure why he's out there trying to cover one again.

This team shouldn't be losing when the offense is putting up 28 points.

 

Zimmer better use this mini-bye week to truly get things fixed.

The defense hasn't been decent in five or six weeks, going back to last year.

I don't disagree.  But there is so much talent on that side of the ball, it should be better.  I have to think this is a schematic/coaching issue.

Maybe it's time to replace Zimmer?

Before you laugh it off, keep in mind, the last 2 times (before last year) that the Vikings made the NFC Championship game, the head coach didn't survive the following season.

I can't laugh it off.  I'm not nearly there yet, but I also can't laugh it off.

Has he even played, at all?

 

Well, that especially rings true tonight.  Rather than having to keep Barr in there you could have an actual DB that is physical enough to play the run.  It seems like this would be the situation you'd see him, if ever.

 

So, yes, I'm also baffled.
