Gregorio Petit added to 40 and 25 man. Not going to help. The lack of position player help on the 40 man coming out of spring training was a pretty obvious mistake. You can't replace Sano, but you can have something more useful than Petit.

 

Enns for Garcia was a waste of time and a terrible idea for a team in contention one week after trading for Garcia last summer. Now 27 years old and almost certainly a "never was."

But it wasn't just Enns for Garcia. The headliner coming back to the Twins was Zack Littell. Twins Daily ranked Littell the Twins #11 prospect coming into 2018, and that's within a few spots in either direction of where most pundits rank him. Enns was more or less a throw in. I might actually like Littell more than Gonsalves.

 

But yeah, I totally agree, Garcia for Enns straight up would have been an awful trade. Thankfully, we never made that trade

Ultimately it was Littell and Enns for Ynoa, some cash and one start from Garcia. Ynoa is off to an awful start in low A this year.

"Some cash"? Wasn't it like $4 million? Awfully expensive prospect.
