The twins aren't that good, and have less room for error. Way less talent, and way less room for bad play.

Yes, but they also don't need to win 104 games and it was just an added stat to Bighat who was wondering if any playoff teams last year had lost 6 in a row.   The Twins are bad right now but that doesn't mean they have to be bad the rest of the season.   If they are an 88 win team which is about the average of those predicting a few weeks ago then there are a few modest winning streaks in our future.     We didn't have any 6 game losing streaks last year but were swept at least 5 times.   Like I said, this next stretch is gut check time.   We'll see if they bounce back.  One week changed the outlook.   Another week can change it again.

The Twins play in the Central, so, yeah, they've a lot of room for error.

An AL Central in which they currently sit in third place in...

If we're talking about margin for error to take the division, sure.  If we're talking about being a legitimate threat in the playoffs, not so much.

It's still April though.  This team hasn't shown an identity yet.  That's why they play the game.

@ home against Cincy won't change my outlook, but it could solidify it

5-1 or 6-0 against the Reds and Jays combined ... Possibly, but I'm not holding my breath

If the Twins are really a playoff hopeful, they should absolutely destroy a pitching lineup of Castillo, Romano and Mahle and then follow that up with a home series win against Toronto.

Long run, we'll be fine. I figured us for 90ish wins but I still figured we'd have some 3-7 stretches along the way.

That said, my concerns about Molitor have not abated. I don't think he's the right manager for this team. I haven't watched much of these Yankee Twins games but the little I saw was with Bremer and Smalley (who I like in the booth) complaining about Berrios getting squeezed and our hitters having to cover a large zone. When an ump is messing up like that the manager has to get that fixed. Gardy would've gone apocalyptic on the ump and got tossed. Molly just seems to sit there. I don't like his lineups and his bullpen use has been questionable. I felt like the Twins won 85 games last year despite the manager and FO. Not sure that's changed. But the season is young and we have lots of baseball left.

The blue Jays were largely projected to be better than the twins, and they have been. I'm not sure I would expect a series win. Might happen, but might not.

I'm not expecting a series win from these Twins in the least.

If a playoff hopeful team was playing a series against the Jays at home, my expectations would be much higher.

Not for long if they keep losing like this.

Cobb hasn't been any better, might explain why nobody wanted to give either big money?

Collusion just like Lynn.  These players are sandbagging because they all got cheated out of millions of dollars this offseason. (ducks).  ;)
