Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Dropping 6 games, but also adding 2 teams results in a net gain, not loss.adding two teams without reducing games means even greater gains
ashbury Verified Member Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Of course, you have no idea what my plan is, but you've already judged it!All 30 teams in the post-season was enough. Sorry, though, the sarcasm I laid on was too thick. Mike Sixel 1
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 I know this was meant to be funny, but I'd 100% back a plan where all 30 teams made a new type of post season......That would effectively make the regular season exhibition games. I prefer less postseason inclusion, not more.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 From a news post today.... Today looks like a big day in the drive for major league baseball in our town, as the Portland Diamond Project is set to announce that it's secured land rights for a stadium site--rumored to be the Port of Portland's Terminal Two along NW Front Avenue, a mile or so downriver from the Fremont Bridge. Nice setting, underused expanse, but it's a mile or more away from MAX. Maybe the Frog Ferry could have a stop there
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 JJ: If MLB expands, those 2 cities should be: ________Keith Law: If MLB expands, they should put part of the expansion fees into building stadiums in the new markets. Portland, OR, and Austin have long been the two best answers to that question, but I’d bet neither electorate would support public funding for a stadium.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 I've traveled to Nashville quite a bit lately because of my job. Their traffic is already getting bad... This would make it worse.
