drjim Provisional Member Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Anyone have any additional information on him? 30 year old, Harvard grad, hired as the new Director of Baseball Ops. Previously worked in the NFL with the Jaguars, Pats, and Browns. Also had some experience in the mlb home office. Intriguing hire if nothing else, doing the reverse DePodesta.

I actually knew of this a while ago. He's a very good friend of someone (another former Minnesotan) I play tennis with.

One-handed or two-handed backhand?

Derek Falvey spoke very highly about him during a presser this afternoon. Had the chance to meet him (with a group of media this afternoon), and he looks really young. When I have a chance, I will try to transcribe Falvey's comments on Adler. He has known him for several years. He likes the fact that he comes from another business/sport, and he wouldn't be surprised to more of that happening. Very, very smart guy. Like I said, he said a lot more, but I've been in a car for about 8 hours since, so I don't remember and don't want to type something incorrect.

Brian Provisional Member Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 I'd like to see his average after at least 1,000 more roles before we start talking HOF
Darius Verified Member Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 I saw this title and thought it was another independent league guy picked up to put a nail in our playoff chances' coffin.
