Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 25 pitch first inning and our leadoff man swings at the first one he sees. Now 2 more pitches for the second out
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 One would think that Castro, of all people, should know better than that.
70charger Verified Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 "Gordon goes into a slide (probably didn't need to)" Dick getting a little passive aggressive out there.

70charger Verified Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Well but on that pace, we'll be doing great by the eighth or ninth inning. And Santana with half the pitches that inning. Again, we'll be doing great by the eighth or ninth inning. Wait, these things are perfectly linear, right? Jerr 1
70charger Verified Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Aw man, that was Dozier's best shot at an oppo homer this series this year ever.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Poor camera work. That is usually an easy call and I never even saw the ball on the replay.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Camera work at Kaufman is sometimes like watching an old VHS. Really, there was no better angle or zoom function to check the Dozier foul ball? At least they fixed the outfield camera that would get drenched by the waterfall every time there was a gust of wind. Guest Guests Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Escobar and Kintzler are good, under-appreciated players, but when they are your clean-up hitter and closer (and Gibson and Santiago are two of your three veteran starters), you really need to do more than trade prospects for a starter.

70charger Verified Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 What an absolutely awful run of luck there.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 (edited) What an absolutely awful run of luck there. You can call it luck, or you can call it a continued failure to make crucial plays in increasingly important games. Polanco last night, Ervin here. We aren't a good enough team to do that. Edited July 1, 2017 by Aggies7 spinowner and wsnydes 2
spinowner Provisional Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Yep, this is on Ervin, part fielding and part pitching.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 The Twins might have to get the pen up here.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 The defense has been the biggest turnaround this season. Makes up for the weak pitching and relatively weak offense. We are seeing what happens when we don't get solid defense.
