already in FM working out and getting ready to try to make the team out of Spring Training so it does not sound like he is trying to, wants to, or expects to leave the organization.

The Yankees just signed Chris Carter to a 1 year 3.5M deal. A good sign Park and his contract of 3x that amount isn't getting claimed. The Rays re-signed Logan Morrison too for what it's worth.

I think if Park played 162 games in 2017 he would hit

 

Actually ... according to a link pasted here earlier ... once DFA'd, the team has 10 days to waive/trade, release or reassign. When placed on waivers, claiming teams have 3 days to make a claim. Those 3 days are part of the 10, so the team DFAing said player has up to 7 days to actually put the player on waivers to accommodate the 3 days a claim can be made. When a player is DFA'd, he isn't automatically on waivers. I'm doing a terrible job at explaining something that confuses me and am not sure I have it right, so someone else who is clear-headed on this, please jump in.

Geeeeeeeeeez ... that put me in a serious state of WTF. Glad it was an error.

I felt the same way when I saw this post at first.  But then, given Twinks decisions in the recent past, I figured it was business as usual with this quizzical team.  What a world, what a world, when news of the most moronic decisions are met with a shrug of the shoulders and an 'oh, well.'
