Article: Buxton Stalls Out, Again

Is everyone who's commenting on/being the author of this article for real right now?  You even gave us the stat that he has had 350 MLB plate appearances...that's equivalent to 85 games, HALF A SEASON!! Get a freaking grip people. There's no way any player should be expected, highly touted or not, to be the next Ken Griffey Jr. after one half a full season at the top level. Give him a full year, hell give him 2 or 3 full seasons, before you write this kid off as done.

Look at anyone you consider a decent MLB player and then compare their first 350 at bats to Buxton's, he's doing pretty bad, like, historically bad. No one is writing him off, it's just painfully obvious he does not presently belong in the bigs and it's likely he's NOT going to be a perennial all-star or the next Mike Trout as he was once touted. He may have some good years eventually, but then again, he might not.....

It seems to me that he is committing to bunt too soon and that he needs to learn to pull the bat back when the pitch is high. It is very difficult to bunt successfully when the pitch is high.

I think it is another example of the Twins promoting good MILB results versus gearing up a player for MLB success.

Duffy was sent down to develop a third pitch. We went from toe tap, now a shorter swing. And one of the fastest guys in the league didn't learn how to bunt in our 3 plus years.

The Twins are failing their prospects. Just look to Keith Law when he says he would really like Buxton to get a shot in a new org or with a new regime here.

The big question in Rochester is who gets released in order for Buxton to be on roster.  Whoever it is, has been there damn near the whole season.  Will be a rough send off?
