Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Happy Opening Day, the best day of the year. Hope the weather holds up so I can watch the Twins, and then flip and watch the NCG.
Old Twins Cap Verified Member Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 In Baltimore huh? Remember, what was it, 2010 or 11 when they opened there? I was hopeful and I went to a bar to watch it on Cable. Man did I know the worm had turned. They played three games in that series. The Twins lost all three, they never had a single lead, and they were only tied for like two or three innings out of 27. Baltimore mopped the floor with them and that year the Twins sucked for the first time in many a year. Course, last year, in Detroit, they got swept, outscored like 27-3, started 1-6 or something and it turned out they were a good team. So, never easy to generalize on the first series or month, though in the aggregate, it's rare that a team gets up off the floor and makes the playoffs after getting pushed around in the beginning.

mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 I really like this team, when guys like Mauer and Buxton can be your 7th and 8th best offensive players without failing to approach expectations it's gonna be fun watching this team every time they step upto the plate. They need better front end starting pitching and catcher is iffy and you always want at least one more good arm in the bullpen but this tam should win a lot of games. Just stay healthy.
