John Bonnes Site Manager Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Beat Vegas and win a Harry’s Razor starter kit! The question before last year was either "How can the Red Sox NOT win with that lineup" or "How can the Red Sox win with that rotation?" The team was true to form, ended up with 78 wins, good for last place in the AL East. This offseason, they bandaged up their rotation with a hell of a Bandaid: they signed David Price.Vegas’ Line: 86.5 wins What The Line Is Saying"How can the Red Sox NOT win with that lineup (and David Price)?" They’ll Beat Vegas If…Price is Price AND a few of the other arms step up. Also, Xander Boegarts & Mookie Betts reveals the location of the Fountain of Youth to David Ortiz, Hanley Ramirez, Pablo Sandoval and Dustin Pedroia. If you beat Vegas, you can win a free Harry’s Razor starter set. Just leave a comment with your choice of the “Over” or” Under” and your reasoning. At the end of the season, for each team, we’ll randomly pick one of the winning predictions for a free Truman Razor set. They’ll Lose To Vegas If…The lineup gets old. Strike that - they're already old. Make that "The various calcified joints throughout the Red Sox lineup embrace death's sweet release." I’ll Bet The….UNDERI like the Red Sox rotation quite a bit more than last year, but that lineup looks like they are ready to age faster than an evil extra in an Indiana Jones film. Now it’s your turn. Give us your prediction in the comment section (you’ll need to register first) and you’re automatically entered. We’ll be giving out a free Harry’s Razor Truman Set to one of the winning correct predictions for each team, so we’ll be give away 15 sets of razors! Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Over. I think they surprise a lot of people and end up as AL East Division Champs.
biggentleben Verified Member Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Over. I honestly think their bullpen may be even better than the Yankees: Kimbrel, Uehara, Carson Smith, Tazawa, Heath Hembree, and then the lefty that loses the starting competition among Eduardo Rodriguez/Henry Owens/Brian Johnson very well may stay in the majors in the bullpen for depth as well. Robbie Ross found his niche as a LOOGY, so a second lefty that could go multiple innings could make that one of the deepest bullpens in the league.
Blake Verified Member Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Under. Too much age in their starting lineup.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 They'll start Over, then go Under. Then next year they'll really have to start over, and the under will be about 70 wins. Mike Sixel 1
djohnson24 Verified Member Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 Over. The lineup will bounce back after severely under performing last year, and Price will be the anchor they desperately need for a good not great staff.
David Zeller Verified Member Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Over. Same reason as Yankees, that Bullpen is solid
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Under, I don't like that lineup.
Wookiee of the Year Verified Member Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Under. I'm finding myself making a lot of these decisions on the strength of the pitching staff, and while Price is a heck of an improvement, their rotation isn't that exciting beyond him.
Scooter262 Verified Member Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Under. See my Yankees comment: I am a Red Sox fan, so hope to make them be good by picking the under, and being wrong like I usually am when I bet. Mike Sixel 1

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Over, because somebody in this division has to break out a bit. But really, this is a "non bet" team for me. 86.5 is a good over/under for them, IMO.
