What would be some compelling MN sports '30-for-30' documentary ideas?

What if I told you the Minnesota Timberwolves had the chance to draft Steph Curry, but instead took a 6'0 guard named Jonny Flynn who wasn't a great shooter, wasn't an elite athlete, wasn't a great passer, and wasn't a great scorer, even though every Timberwolves fan wanted Curry even at the time.

 

At least that debacle has helped to set up the current core though.

The entire 2009 Minnesota Vikings Season. The media circus surrounding the signing of long time rival QB Brett Favre, the rise throughout the regular season, and really you could make a completely separate documentary about the 2009 NFC Title game.

Maybe this is a little too old school, but it'd be interesting to learn the story of why the Minneapolis Lakers left town, and then the franchise became the most successful in NBA history once they moved to Los Angeles.

Besides the one ESPN has already done the only thing I can think of is something on Sid Hartman.  It will be interesting to hear the national perspective when he goes 20 or 30 years from now.

Actually, there are a lot of really good ideas here. The contraction story would be more compelling if the Twins had won a WS in the next 5 or so years.

 

I think something on KG could be done for sure. Have any of you seen the doc "Nash"? Something like that.

 

Puckett is another obvious one.

 

Perhaps something on HS hockey. As a Bemidjian, an interesting story could be produced about George Pelawa.

They already did one on Randy Moss, but I think the Vikings would make for a good documentary.
