Excited for 2016

It's been a great ride this season thus far. We still have a chance, but pitching has really taken a dive. There is so much to be excited about for 2016, why hold back now?

The problem will continue to be pitching next season, so it's hard to be exited about the team itself next year.

Not just the pitching, offense has taken a dive too.  10th in scoring the first half, 23rd in the 2nd half.

The problem will continue to be pitching next season, so it's hard to be exited about the team itself next year.

Hopefully they find a way to jettison Nolasco, and Pelfrey should be gone as well. I think Hughes will bounce back next year and I don't think Santana is as bad as we've seen, although he doesn't thrill me. If they can manage to assemble a rotation of May, Berrios, Gibson, Hughes and Santana, things should be better.

I think the moves they make this offseason will determine the level of excitement for 2016.  More and more of the core is in place, but there's some surplus at P, 3B, and OF and a shortage at SS, C, and RP, and of course there's a prayer that Mauer manages to rebound.  If they manage to pick up a solidly above average catcher and pick up some needed help in the pen, I'll be pretty excited, b/c they should challenge KC for the central if they do.   If they have another offseason like this last one, I'm not quite as certain.
