So there's a guy on 1B with one out, and a ball gets hit out to CF.  One could argue a better CF, or one who took a better route on that play, gets that ball.  It gets by Hicks and instead of it being out #2, and leaving a guy one 1B, the guy on 1B scores on a 'double'.

So, 1 run scored and there's a guy on 2B and still only one out as opposed to an above average CF making that play for out #2 outs and having a guy on 1st.

Yeah, i also thought he let up a little when he realized it was by him, and didn't get back to get the carom off the wall.

Coulda made a difference with the play at the plate, though not sure.

The subsequent home run has put the O's up.

Pinto is replaced after getting hit on the head twice by the back swing of Adam Jones.

Hope he's okay...

Oh, and all's quiet at Tampa bay.

I didn't see it ... did it look as if he was hit hard?  Hope it's not a concussion ...

It was once per inning, and after the one in the second inning, Twins coaches came out, talked to him for a while, and left him in.

A pitch or two later, the Umpire said something wasn't right, and told the Twins to replace him, and they did.

May seems to be pitching well at the Rays/Twins game.

A perfect 4 innings, minus an error from Nunez at 3rd. (Now that i can't jinx him)

Hamburger gave up a home run in the 5th for a 1-0 deficit.

The twins also have only amassed one hit, and it was less meaningful.

So we got a chance to come back in both games!

Twins up 2-1 in the 6th against the Rays.  May did a very nice job pitching.  He's not out of this race yet!

Milone regressed, giving up four runs on five hits while walking two over four innings. Based on one day's performance, May takes a step forward, while Milone takes a step back.

And in other news, Perkins gives up a solo homer to Delmonzo, bracketed by strikeouts... Just good to see him on the hill.

Watching KC/W Sox game.

Guy on first, line drive to right center.  Dyson sprints over, gets to it on the 3rd hop, stops, turns body (since he ran to his left and throws right), plants and throws the guy out at 3B by 4 steps.

Instead of there being a man on 1st and 3rd and one out, now there's a man on 1B and two outs.  Next batter grounds to the 2B on the next play.  If he had done that and the guy was on 3B, they score a run onthe 2nd out.  Instead it's out #3.

BTW, that next batter came to the plate still shaking his head in disbelief in what Dyson did. Outstanding defender.

Not if they turn two on the grounder to second. ;)

Yeah, can only imagine what the umpire saw that tipped him off. Fingers crossed for sure.

Just read he's out 4-5 days with concussion symptoms.
