AP: Back with Twins, Hamburger Relishes Moment

The AP's Dave Campbell wrote a terrific article on Twins pitcher Mark Hamburger. In it, he writes about pitching in the Twins system, getting traded to the Rangers and pitching in the big leagues. But then it also talks about how he entered himself into Hazelden for substance abuse.

More important, it talks about how he has come back from it. The article points out that he was hitting 98 mph last season in the minor leagues.

"He did a nice job for us in the minor leagues. He was a model citizen. He threw the ball pretty well," general manager Terry Ryan said. "He's changed his life and that's a good thing. Because he was headed in the wrong direction there for a while, like a lot of us. He did something about it, which was good."

He is hoping to make the Twins roster. If he does and works out of the bullpen, the Twins bullpen coach is Eddie Guaradado, who he was traded to Texas in exchange for.

Let's hope he can ketchup to his previous level, and really put some mustard on it out of the pen.

It'd help if he came in out of the bullpen to get us out of any pickles too.

I thought his arm was fried.

I hope he can lettuce win more games.

His mound celebrations seem like he is hot-dogging it. But he might go well with the shake up in the clubhouse.

EDIT: Also goes well with a Coke, to Chief. :)
