Ticket question

I'll be in Minneapolis the weekend of 5/17 when the Twins host the Rays and would like to try the attend either the Friday or Sunday game.  Should I walk up to the gate to buy a ticket?  Use Stub Hub?  Some other option?

Thanks.

Scalping is legal in Minneapolis. If the weather is bad, you can score some pretty great deals. I doubt it'll be sold out though, so you could always fall back on the box office.

There are always scalpers around with tickets.  Their prices aren't usually too bad.  You can usually grab some decent tickets from them, and they if you wait until the game has started, they sometimes take a little off.

Fridays in May probably won't sell out, but they could get a little full.  If you want to ensure that you have a seat, you might want to grab something off the Twins website directly, or from stub hub.  You'll have more options that way anyway.

I guess it really depends on how risk averse you are.  If you want the certainty, just buy some tickets now.  If you're willing to risk it and maybe having to pay a bit, or sit in a crappy seat (there really aren't that many seats that are crappy at Target Field), then go with the scalper or box office option.

Remember folks: Ticket King is a Twins Daily sponsor. I've used them a few times and it has worked out well for me.

I used them last August and they gave me a discount as a TD member.

Go to stubhub an hour before the game, print the cheapest tickets, and sit wherever you please.

I dont think you can use Stubhub within 2 hours of first pitch, if i remember right, i also have used ticketking, have loved using them , so far.

I'll second (third?) the TicketKing endorsement. I used them last summer and was pleased with my experience - plus, as already mentioned, you get a discount as a Twins Daily member.

You get a discount?  Man... that would have been good information to have yesterday, when I bought tickets to a wild game.  Oh well, live and learn.
