sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Carnac: Speaking of painful: "What were the highlights of Trevor May's 5-run fourth?" Wow, that had escaped my notice... Thanks!
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 2016We're up to that many jinxes?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 What are you saying, Brian ... he throws like a girl?Nope... Marlo Thomas.... That Girl
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 What are you saying, Brian ... he throws like a girl?I would have used 50 cent but I don't know how to spell 50 without it looking like Fixed it For You.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 The Orioles win 70% of their games when they hit at least one home run. Wow.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I would have used 50 cent but I don't know how to spell 50 without it looking like Fitty.FTFY. / time for dinner, BRB
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 We're up to that many jinxes? Yes. Though it brings up a bigger question: Since when? I heard somewhere that we've actually accumulated 9,999 jinxes ever. I like odometers.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Cappuccino flavored Lays potato chips? Where did things go so wrong!!!

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I can honestly watch 9-0 baseball and enjoy it. But only... If the teams play like its still 0-0
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Cappuccino flavored Lays potato chips? Where did things go so wrong!!! I was wondering if anyone had tried them. I don't like coffee so I don't think I'd ever like them but I really wondered what others thought.
adorduan Verified Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Maybe we can trade May to the Dodgers for Correia.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I went away and all of a sudden, it's 8-0. Then I see that blue gave Young an undeserved homer. I have watched baseball over 50 years and never seen a second baseman catch a ball where Schoop caught Vargas' looper.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 10,000? Trevor Plouffe. Fitting that it would be a solo.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 May has the looks of a good reliever. Give him any longer than 3 or 4 innings and all hell breaks loose. As an umpire, I'd LOVE to know how they came up with their decision to call that a home run. The fan's glove is clearly in the field of play. It nearly made contact with Schafer's glove. And I don't think that the ball had enough to get into the seats if the fan doesn't reach over. Yet, somehow, it's a home run. The slo-mo looked like it showed the ball hitting Schafer's glove which means he overran it and could have easily caught it. But how they come up with a home run decision mystifies me.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Trevor Plouffe w/ #10,000!

I can't even imagine that combo of Flavors in my mind. If I dropped a potato chip in my coffee... I'd probably got get another cup of coffee.

ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Cappuccino flavored Lays potato chips? Where did things go so wrong!!!My theory (after watching that add too many f'ing times) is that they want us to think that, because they're asking us "consumer citizens" of the USA to vote for our favorite new flavor of chip. There's got to be a cute loser.

There's got to be a cute loser.I remember the days when you'd open up a box of Old Dutch and some Land O' Lakes French Onion dip and life was good. Sitting with your feet on the counter... Untangling the phone chord while talking to your girlfriend and watching the Dukes of Hazzard on the little Kitchen black and white.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I went away and all of a sudden, it's 8-0. Then I see that blue gave Young an undeserved homer. The only consolation is that it took it to 8-0 instead of 6-0. It's not really looking like the Twins could have scored 7.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Nice catch, Schafer! (and yeah, i liked his effort on the Delmon Dinger. I bet an element of the inconclusivity of it was the possibility of bouncing off the top of the wall and over.)

Perhaps it will be less wasteful? Come to think of it, have they ever tried "soggy" as a chip flavor?
