Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Coco reverted to Covelli? Cool. Let's see whether Span will revert to Keiunta
Vegeta Provisional Member Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Where is Revere. The guy is off the chain.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Does Mauer have a high rate of GIDPs this year, or does it just seem that way?
Boom Boom Verified Member Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Denard Span is one of the worst baserunners I've ever seen. We saw a bit there why he has so much trouble getting picked off, but that must be the third or fourth time I've seen him run out of the baseline into center field on a double play ball. Is it too much to ask to slide into the bag and try to break it up?

Boom Boom Verified Member Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Maybe he has been instructed to play it safe to avoid another concussion?I've never seen Morneau do that, and he's a much bigger concussion risk than Span.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Does Mauer have a high rate of GIDPs this year, or does it just seem that way?He must be approaching 10 GIDPs so far this year which is a ridiculously high rate.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 He must be approaching 10 GIDPs so far this year which is a ridiculously high rate.It does appear from the following link that Mauer may be leading the league in GIDPs -- http://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/GIDP_leagues.shtml
snepp Verified Member Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Incoming picker of nits.... It would be handy if the start time was included in either the thread title or with the lineups. Carry on.
Top Gun Provisional Member Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Jason Marquis is officially a free agent. Marquis cleared release waivers on Monday after being designated for assignment by the Twins last week. He posted a brutal 8.47 ERA in seven starts with the Twins but should be able to find an opening somewhere. Source: Rhett Bollinger on Twitter

glunn Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 A HR from Mauer right now would tie the game and erase the bad taste from his GIDP. Please, just one HR Joe.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Nice hit Josh. Now if Justin can hit it deep, we tie the game with a SF, or if he can hit it out, then we get a 2 run lead. Go Twins!
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 OK, we will take the SF. Now we need to DOOM the A's. Go Twins!
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Check out the stats on Ryan Cook's stats out of the A's bullpen--21 games, 23 IP, 4 hits (.056 BA), no runs, and 0.70 WHIP. Yikes.
snepp Verified Member Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 You want to know why Dick? 25 plate appearances, that's why lefties have "done so much better" than righties have.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Another solid performance by Diamond. He is a bright spot.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 For those who are watching the game. What is on the left side of Coco Crisp's Neck? Is it a tattoo of sniper rifle scope with a silver stud piercing in the middle of the scope? If it is, I have never seen that before... not that I am against it, but this is a first.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 I would love to hear Gardenhire's explanation for why Gray was pitching the 8th inning of a tie game.
snepp Verified Member Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Regression kicks Cook right in the nuts.

glunn Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 M&M boys getting it done! Now let's get some insurance runs.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Regression kicks Cook right in the nuts.Which seems only fair considering the bruised nut of the Twins.
Vegeta Provisional Member Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Here he comes to wreck the dayyyyyyyyyyyyy
Vegeta Provisional Member Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Guess he still had some crisco on his hand, or was it bardol , maybe vagisil????
Vegeta Provisional Member Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Got the save. Not pretty though. 21 pitches 11 for balls
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Atta boy, Capps! It wasn't pretty, but he got the job done.
