Denard Span is one of the worst baserunners I've ever seen.

 

We saw a bit there why he has so much trouble getting picked off, but that must be the third or fourth time I've seen him run out of the baseline into center field on a double play ball. Is it too much to ask to slide into the bag and try to break it up?

I've never seen Morneau do that, and he's a much bigger concussion risk than Span.

Marquis cleared release waivers on Monday after being designated for assignment by the Twins last week. He posted a brutal 8.47 ERA in seven starts with the Twins but should be able to find an opening somewhere.
