darin617 Verified Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Any chance of an Aaron Hicks for Jose Tabata trade? The trade would be a change of scenery for both players which might turn them around. I would only do this if Pittsburgh sent $2-3M in the deal.
jorgenswest Verified Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 I asked about a Tabata earlier and the board helped me with the following. Tabata has a lot of money left on his deal. Tabata may not really be 25 but may be 5 years older.Tabata is out of options. The only skill Tabata has shown is getting on base. on the other hand... Hicks has several year of team control.Hicks is really 24Hicks has options. The only batting skill Hicks has shown is getting on base.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Not interested. This team is toast this year.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Hicks doesn't have a ton of value, but I think the Twins are getting the raw end of that deal.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Would Pittsburgh take Florimon in the deal too?
tobi0040 Verified Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 No way. Agreed. Tabata is slightly better than Fuld. If we wait a while you can get something as good or better on the waiver wire. Heck, we have donated two CF this year that are as good or better (Pressly and Mastro) than Tabata. As dissapointing and frustrating as Hicks has been, no reason to move him for nothing.
