longstrangetrip Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Looks like the sinker is working, so far.......... Yep, she's a-diving tonight. Too many pitches in the first inning, but t least he's through the tough part of the lineup. In other news, Mauer looked like he had no chance against Smyly. You can see why he's 1 for 10 lifetime, 1-11 now.
MileHigh_Jake Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Despite his season ending injury I maintain I'd still rather have Fielder than Kinsler in my opening day lineup. I agree, but corners of Cabrerra and Fielder aren't pretty. kinsler brings a solid 2b with some speed... trade made since for both teams.
curt1965 Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 How great would it be to have Pino in the bullpen instead of Guerrier or Burton?

I thought Dombrowski did a good job of getting Miggy back to 1st B. Didn't seem like he was going to age all that well at 3rd.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 So apparently Dozier's back was already achy (d*mn that turf) before Wednesday's game. And then he had the collision. Can only hope for rapid improvement I guess. http://www.twincities.com/twins/ci_25959848/twins-back-injury-forces-dozier-miss-first-game
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Glad to hear that. Even the vaccines scare me a little, though. My vet got a new partner (wife) and all of a sudden they became much more intent on profits, etc. and recommended a whole new regime with a wider variety of vaccines. My dog was so lethargic for 2 days afterward i thought I was going to have to take her in -- very scary. Since then, I insist on just the basics. Mine spends a lot of time running around the wilds of northern Wisconsin when we go to the cabin, so we Front Line her. She always get's really lethargic the day we dose her, which is disconcerting.

longstrangetrip Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 That's Smyly's problem against right handed batters...too many taters. I didn't think it would be Escobar that would get him first, but atta kid Eduardo!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Escobar showing the power... I love it.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 That little bloop by Joe was perfect... Might mean the snake has stopped biting.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Here comes a Jack. I'll go with that.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Santana is pretty good at swiping.
MileHigh_Jake Verified Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 How does the ump make that call from the other side of the play?? Laughable
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Kendrys Plural... With the bases loaded!!
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 In the hands of a talented manager, and team, this would be a huge inning. I fear we don't have that.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Kendrys Plural... With the bases loaded!! DFA him, he's worthless

My vet is pretty good about mentioning services [dental cleaning etc] briefly, but not pushing anything. The dog is always excited when she sees the building, because she knows it means peanut butter and a bunch of people fawning over her plus she loves all of the scents of the other dogs.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 That was a bummer... Like waiting for a new Dog for X-mas and getting a fruit fly.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 DFA him, he's worthless He might be regressing to the mean. That's such a TD phrase.

That is even more worrying. I was a little less than enthusiastic about the product, because I still pick ticks off her even after Front Line. The Vet said, well yeah, the ticks die after they bite a Front Lined dog. I'm like, WTF? I was led to believe that FL would prevent my dog from getting bitten by ticks. If that's the case, why am I blowing money on a worthless product that doesn't eliminate my physical exam of my dog every time she goes out to hunt?
