Looks like the sinker is working, so far..........

Yep, she's a-diving tonight. Too many pitches in the first inning, but t least he's through the tough part of the lineup.

In other news, Mauer looked like he had no chance against Smyly. You can see why he's 1 for 10 lifetime, 1-11 now.

Despite his season ending injury I maintain I'd still rather have Fielder than Kinsler in my opening day lineup.

I agree, but corners of Cabrerra and Fielder aren't pretty. kinsler brings a solid 2b with some speed... trade made since for both teams.

I thought Dombrowski did a good job of getting Miggy back to 1st B. Didn't seem like he was going to age all that well at 3rd.

Glad to hear that. Even the vaccines scare me a little, though. My vet got a new partner (wife) and all of a sudden they became much more intent on profits, etc. and recommended a whole new regime with a wider variety of vaccines. My dog was so lethargic for 2 days afterward i thought I was going to have to take her in -- very scary.

Since then, I insist on just the basics.

Mine spends a lot of time running around the wilds of northern Wisconsin when we go to the cabin, so we Front Line her. She always get's really lethargic the day we dose her, which is disconcerting.

In the hands of a talented manager, and team, this would be a huge inning. I fear we don't have that.

My Mom's dog goes crazy the day she is front lined -- she gets all wild eyed and a bit spastic.

My vet is pretty good about mentioning services [dental cleaning etc] briefly, but not pushing anything. The dog is always excited when she sees the building, because she knows it means peanut butter and a bunch of people fawning over her plus she loves all of the scents of the other dogs.

That was a bummer... Like waiting for a new Dog for X-mas and getting a fruit fly.

If I get this position I'm interviewing for, I'll be getting a second dog.

That is even more worrying. I was a little less than enthusiastic about the product, because I still pick ticks off her even after Front Line. The Vet said, well yeah, the ticks die after they bite a Front Lined dog. I'm like, WTF? I was led to believe that FL would prevent my dog from getting bitten by ticks. If that's the case, why am I blowing money on a worthless product that doesn't eliminate my physical exam of my dog every time she goes out to hunt?
