sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Lady and gentlemen, I have an announcement to make: This team will play in the postseason. 5. The baseball isn't terrible, and the season isn't too short. (a um, restaurant to remember) Thanks all.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Looking at a replay.. On Cabrera's 5-4-3 double play in the 5th, Plouffe was playing far off the line.. if Plouffe had been playing his normal 3B position that ground ball might have been a two run single.. alchemy or something
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Nice try on the English Esco. We might need Colabello back to translate. Can't trust management (Cuellar) to accurately translate.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 I just got back and turned the game on, and saw Nathan walking off the field getting booed. Kind of pissed me off...sorta like he's still our guy. I'm feeling protective. Plus Joe seems to me to be the kind of guy who's not booable. Plays hard, good teammate, respectful to the fans. Don't boo Joe! Agreed. If this had happened at Target Field, we still wouldn't have treated Joe that way even pitching for the Tigers. Stay classy Tiger fans!

Stay classy Tiger fans! To be fair, the Target Field fans have booed a player named Joe when he has not played up to his normal standards.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 He might be regressing to the mean. That's such a TD phrase. And yet we never see "progressing to the mean" as in "it appears that Joe Mauer has figured it out, with 5 games in a row going 3-4 he has begun progressing to the mean"
ScottyB Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Still a Twin at heart? I do hope he can retire a Twin. On a one day contract in the offseason please. We've seen enough over-the-hill former Twins on this team this year.
