Whammy Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Well, at least we avoided our recent problem with 2 out hitting
Hawkeye12 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Well thanks to the double play line out, we only went 0-2 that inning with RISP, instead of the 0-3 we would've gone without. So there's that. I've never seen so many infield line outs by the Twins as this year. Every game seems to have a couple of rockets. Maybe it's all the shifting teams are doing but probably just bad luck.

Whammy Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 No... It's just a different 2 out hitting problem. We've turned it into a 2-out at-batting problem
Whammy Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 The Rangers seem to be purposely getting to 2 outs the same way Mauer likes to hit with 2 strikes. Well played Ron Washington

Winston Smith Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 wonder what a bases clearing two bagger looks like? If you go to Game-day they have a video of the one Choo hit.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Mauer's got 50 base hits for the year now! ... 41 singles.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Mauer's got 50 base hits for the year now! ... 41 singles. Sad but true at his current pace Joe will end up with 6 hr, 49 rbi and 123 k's.

Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Kubel is donezo and needs to go away.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Got back 2. That is ok.Neither pitcher will probably go 5 innings at this rate.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Not a bad half inning - the Twins can stay in this one if they can have a few more like that
Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Kubel......starts with K That little trick is all that keeps me from spelling it Qubel
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Great job to get the Twins off the field and back to the plate
mikeee Provisional Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 They are getting some hits this game.
gil4 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 MLB Gamecast: Brian Dozier grounds out to catcher Robinson Chirinos. Brian Dozier out on batter interference. Would someone care to add some description for those of us who can't see the video until tonight? It sounds like the odd kind of play that should be followed by "Manager Ron Gardenhire ejected."
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Plouffe seems pretty good at finding 2nd base. (and now he found 3rd base too) I hope he can make it further...
