twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Perhaps he could swing the dummy... All joking aside, he could still connect. Plenty of baseball left tonight. Deciding whether to hold breath......will advise.

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Make sure to use a spotter I'm seeing spots, does that count?
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I'm seeing spots, does that count? That's why you want a spotter, to catch you when you pass out, so you don't bump your head
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 I'm seeing spots, does that count? You need Spot remover.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 What are we talking about again? And how did this game get to the 6th inning already?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I'm seeing spots, does that count? Is that with or without holding your breath? I don't think Kubel comes up again 'til the next inning...
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Is that with out without holding your breath? I don't think Kubel comes up again 'til the next inning... Now he tells me......
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Deduno's had the curveball working tonight but you have to throw a strike in that situation, make the hitter beat you.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Now he tells me...... Sorry, i'm slow... Are the Giants playin' the shift on Kubel? Maybe it's time to lay that bunt down the 3rd base line.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Sandoval with the RBI sand wedge......damn
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Hey, Hicks is on. Can we do something with it?
Whammy Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Bruce Bochey looks like a damn ogre next to that munchkin umpire.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Hey, Hicks is on. Can we do something with it? Hermann up, not holding breath. Fool me once.....
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Hermann up, not holding breath. Fool me once..... That was the spot for Oswaldo or Kennys....
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Hermann up, not holding breath. Fool me once..... You were right. But at least he wouldn't have made anyone hold their breath very long. First pitch grounded out to short...
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 (Go Pinto!) I enjoy watching Pinto bat. For some reason he makes me think of a Kurosawa movie...Not entirely sure which one or why.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Whoa, Pinto! Down 0-2 and homers, nice!!
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Arcia and Hammer can't come back fast enough.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Arcia and Hammer can't come back fast enough. Amen.

Tonight on 0-2 pitchestwice...ugh. I might be the only one...but I got the Boz Skaggs ref, Bri Nosebleed seats behind home plate, or anything up there in either direction really, has the nice view out on the water that shows off the park at its best. Tickets are pretty expensive, but they sell out so obviously they know their market. Our son had also seen the Twins in San Diego, and had that as a (very low) baseline to compare with. Saturday's game was the classic "not as close as the score would indicate", as the Pinto homer in the ninth to break up the shutout didn't leave anybody at the park thinking the win for the home team was in real jeopardy. Twins did better in the field than the Giants this particular game, and Deduno was less wild and crazy (and also less fast) than I expected/remembered, but it still was about as decisive as any 2-1 win can be.
