Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Oswaldo just went yard for Roc. (2-3 on the day, also has a double). Does he get the ticket to travel with the team to the West Coast? Gardy and Antony both said pre-game that they are going down to 12 pitchers for San Diego. A roster move will be made after the game and it will not be: Arcia... Hammer... Fuld or Jennifer Lawrence. So it's any ones guess.

I think Arcia was optioned on the 14th so he'd have to stay down a minimum of 10 days, unless the corresponding roster move was due to injury. Probably going to be Willingham coming back.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 He can't (unless someone goes on the DL), he has to stay down a minimum of 10 days. The soonest he can be recalled is next Saturday. Huh....I sense a sudden-onset groin pull coming for Mike Tonkin.....
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Good call. Thank You... From my years of experience coaching... I instinctively know when to charge out of the dugout.

Yeah, you're probably right. Not sure if he's really ready, though....Jennifer Lawrence? Maybe. BTW, Vargas also just hit a long one for New Britain, although I know the Twins definitely won't go there....he'd still be an ideal pinch hitter for the next 5 games.
Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Ugh not a good pitch to swing at for stirke 3
blairpaul715 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Mauer, definitely not clutch, lets see 2 HR, 13 RBI's , did he just come off disabled list?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Plouffe picking up Mauer... Mauer should slide Trevor some cash under the table.
Hawkeye12 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Plouffe! Glad to see some hits evening out for him after he had some bad luck on hard hit balls a week ago.

blairpaul715 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Hicks now has a higher OBP than Plouffe. Unexpected. And a higher OPS than Revere ......not saying much, just sayin
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Welcome back Pedro? Yeah we could use another SS... So yeah... Watch them do it. Looking at the 40 man. My guess is its Herrmann or dare I say Vargas. Vargas makes the most sense because Gardy is going to want pinch hitting options for the pitcher spot.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Right after you ask, rhetorically of course, if he's effin blind. I think I actually threw my glasses at an ump once.

I still lean for the Twins to go to the Gardy-auto-default-position of either extra catchers or shortstops).

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I think it should be Vargas I think he deserves a shot.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I think he deserves a shot. I haven't seen him play but eagerly await watching him.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I haven't seen him play but eagerly await watching him. Hicks seems to be doing better since the butt-chewing.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Hicks seems to be doing better since the butt-chewing. Yeah... Some... I'm not completely comfortable yet. Perhaps... I should get a butt chewing... Keep me from getting comfortable.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I think I actually threw my glasses at an ump once. You're lucky he couldn't see you do that.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Felix is throwing that curve with impunity
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 You're lucky he couldn't see you do that. He put them in his pocket... I had to wait until the game was over to ask for them back... So I could drive home legally.
