Escobar looked slow there.

 

Big Pre Game Meal... Judging by looking at his size. He may have had two cookies and now he's stuffed.

Spot on.

 

I never thought I'd detest a Twins middle infielder more than Punto, but Florimon now takes it. Punto's 'heart' and defense were also over-rated, but at least he could make the all the routine plays.

Kubel has surprised me - and that was vs a lefty.

Colabello was the cornerstone of that entire inning. Just loved it.

I don't think Plouffe and his possible turning a corner is getting enough attention.

I had high hopes for Escobar. Keyword: "had".

John, could you expand on your thoughts about PLouffe.

 

This little opposite field loop to right field that he has found has completely changed his value, IMHO. He could suddenly be a .270 hitter instead of a .230 hitter and not completely worthless against right-handers. A guy with his profile who hits .270 is Michael Cuddyer at third base.

I talked jokingly about how Kubel might be the best left fielder the Twins have, but it's no joke. He really is the best guy for out there.

 

Hmmm, I think Herrmann and Mastroianni would be better fielding-wise, but the way Kubel is hitting, who cares?!
