  1. Geez sign the guy to a long term deal then he rakes his way to the all-star game? Not exactly a cliche Mr Kepler
  2. He and Duffy seem to be some development success stories. If those two and May can pitch the way they did last night it'll take some pressure off the blue chip fireman they bring in on a trade!
  3. I think it's safe to say Max has turned a corner. He's has some cold steaks but has turned it around quickly.
  4. They are limiting his innings post surgery so he could be a piece in October!
  5. I find the jingle comforting
  6. Of the current Twins Castro (4-9 with a homer), Gonzales (3-7) and Schoop (7-22) have had some success against Porcello. The rest not so much. This is going to be a fun tough matchup!
  7. The Yankees proved now is go time. When everybody's healthy over there we are talking a heavyweight scrum for top AL (MLB) lineup. We gotta move, man. Sign Gibby now! I think he will be easier right now than Berrios and maybe a hair cheaper right now than in the off season. I think he has more value than MadBum. A trade for bullpen help too. We need two one really good and another mid level maybe specialist type. A good starter like MadBum won't move the needle for this team like BP help. Yeah we could move Perez or Pineda to the pen but how did Perez look there early this year? Straight up BP help is priority #1 & 2.
  8. One for the suggestion box: I like how you have pared down the top twenty list to only those who played. Now that you have a little extra space how about having a season stat line to go with their days performance for overall perspective (for the lazy man)?
  9. If Gibby is pitching in October tonight's earlyish hook might be a reason why. Over the years I have watched many twins fade in September. Let's see how this new approach pans out.
  10. Classic Lake opponents sure could get Gibby's confidence rite were we want it!!!!!
  11. I don't agree. This is how Rocco keeps everybody involved and exposing May to situations like this might calm him down over time.
  12. Perez mows em down career back on track, story at ten.
  13. Classic TD thread everybody! Thanks for the laughs and some good insight.
  14. Kimbrel really feel apart last year. Maybe the time off will help him but nobody knows. That's why a one year deal for him works for me. I would also like to see another BP arm via trade. Keuchel could be good with the rest and Wes and I like getting a starter to add depth and cover for Pineda late season. Of course somehow landing a top starter via trade, now who wouldn't like that. These guys will need time to get up to speed but it's early so that works too.
  15. Fun game and crisp at 2:40. Smeltzer just goes to work and we may just have something there. I would like to see one more and give him another week with Wes. He is one guy I do not see using in the pen. For me he makes better sense as much needed rotation depth.
  16. Smeltzer was fun to watch. He came at hitters and seemed to have the same arm slot on every pitch.
  17. Looks like the Brew crew bullpen has the third best ops against in the national this year. Get your boots on!
  18. Quote courtesy of the department of redundancy department.
  19. I liked how in yesterday's interview Baldelli said with runners in scoring position and two strikes the worst outcome is a swing and miss. Gotta change your approach.
