"We should cheer for this FO to be aggressive traders. We have lived with a long history of passivity,"
I agree. It has been more interesting and much less exasperating following the current front office. I am confident another move is coming.
This guy is going to get pushed like Buxton was and likely will struggle just like Buxton. Hopefully then he will figure it out. Will be fun to watch for some and excruciating for others!
Odorizzi has had quite a track record of success against the @%#-%_&*#&anks so I'll go with a hiccup as an explanation of this performance. Still a blister problem? One thing I'd like to say is give em a chance to heal and let the Smeltz start a couple but I can't!!!! We need Darin in the pen dagummit! Ah ok Devin
It's not as simple as that. For context I would include Hicks' early years when he was OPSing in the 600's. Buxton might just play more games this year and get his own run of 800 OPS seasons started.
With four spots open I'm sure this was part of the plan. This FO doesn't sit on underperformers like the last. That is welcome. I wager at least two of the remaining spots will be filled be players from outside the organization.
Some guys don't have the perceived value every for a lottery ticket. Hose sure seemed close to Morin did he realize that his buddy was emblematic of the bullpen's shortcomings?
