  1. I usually just hit the double arrow button to skip to the last page which has the most recent comments.
  2. Clicked over to MLB game day, and all I see is "Buxton doubles on ground ball to left fielder." didn't see the play but sounds like he might be kinda fast lol.
  3. Should have added that I posted this because I am curious if anyone has heard if that is the reason for his poor spring?
  4. His spring training start has worried me as well, but sometimes pitchers use spring training to work on certain pitches so I am hoping that is where his issues are coming from. Positive thinking! Another big leap from him could help us out if our 3 new additions turn out well we could have a stellar bullpen.
  5. The front office has a plan if Molitor isn't the manager in that plan they need to find their manager regardless of results this season. That's exactly what the Cubs did, Theo stuck to his plan regardless of results and it paid off. Molitor is also not a good manager in my opinion. Loves the bunt, but doesn't call a bunt with runners on 1st and 2nd with no out I just don't understand that. His bullpen management also is not good in my opinion, but these are all just MY opinions. From stories we've been hearing on TV he wanted to fix the defense this season and he certainly did so have to give him Kudos for that! Was a great year overall though and I'm ready for the next one to start!
  6. I really do not understand why the twins are carrying an 8 man bullpen. Especially when Molitor only uses 3-4 of them in tight situations.
  7. So does this mean Bartolo is retiring? Or do they plan to move Gibson to the bullpen?
  8. A big thing for Buxton too is getting on base. He doesn't need a bunch of hits as long as he can start to show a better ability to take walks, because any time his speed is on the base paths he's helping this team.
  9. I would assume he is just the filler until a starter is needed on Friday. On a side note I'd bet on it not being Gee as he has already thrown 36 pitches and I'm not sure at all but I would bet they don't throw too many more than 30 on a bullpen day.
  10. With them having a double header today I'd be shocked if they elected for a bullpen type game. But I have seen crazier things happen.
  11. Well Gee made the start for Rochester so that's a sigh of relief.
  12. I was being extremely sarcastic. Probably should have made it more obvious.
  13. Marte was as high as 3 on one board (MLB.com I think). Just shows how hard it is to judge these kids at such a young age.
  14. I wonder if his exit velocity has increased and that is the reason for the high babip. Or if he just has been the luckiest player in baseball this year.
  15. The exciting move would be to bring up Romero or Jorge for spot start and some experience. So, I'm putting my money or Gee or some other pitcher that will lead us to gripe and think "WTF are they doing".
  16. So, the question is now is there a big market for a player like Escobar? The way he has been batting of late do they keep plugging him in the lineup and hope to get some team to overpay with a near-ready minor league pitcher like the Giants did last year for Nunez? I understand SSS but if he can keep it up with Adrianza on the bench I think he could be a good sell high candidate.
  17. Strike out pitcher. Strike out pitcher. Strike out pitcher. Strike out pitcher.
  18. I used to be in the sell Erv no matter what boat, but now that has changed. If they get an offer that blows them away great take it, but if not keep him even if he doesn't keep the all-star pace he is putting up now, and falls back to his career norms he is still an asset to the rotation. As long as they don't become buyers at the deadline and sell part of the future I am happy with whatever happens.
  19. While I agree with all of you that there are many better options than Wimmers, I don't disagree with the move as much. At the beginning of the year before this team was competing everyone was wanting the FO to cycle through the guys in minors and find out what we have. The Wimmers move is probably short term until Vargas is able to come back up, and maybe not even that long. They are giving Wimmers a shot to see what he's got, and maybe he surprises everyone and something clicks and he takes off. If not they send him back down and nothing is lost in my opinion.
  20. From Pedrioa's comments after the game I don't think he had an beef or issue with how that play turned out.
  21. I just hope all this winning doesn't cause the front office to forget we are still a rebuilding team that needs to make a youth movement. I would rather see this team win 70 games and sell high on old bullpen arms, Santana, and Dozier. Than make a trade or keep the veterans and win 82 games and fall short of the playoffs.
  22. Apparently the rule never throw behind the lead runner no longer applies.
  23. Its nice to see someone elses bullpen letting the game get out of hand late.
  24. 2 steals for Dozier today that's nice to see.
