  1. I thought the same thing at first, but I am hoping it’s due to the fact that they are trying to fix his swing and he’s still uncomfortable in the box with the changes. Hopefully he can start to make good strides within a few weeks when he’s getting comfortable with the corrections.
  2. I like the move. As many have mentioned, they are probably going to try and completely breakdown and fix his swing. Going through all of that and feeling the initial discomfort while at AAA (facing better pitching) he could go through the same struggles he is now and just resort back to his old ways. I'm hoping that they send him down there, until they feel he has checked all of their boxes, and then send him to AAA to make sure he sticks with their corrections before bringing him back up.
  3. I would love to have him. I would not love to have his contract.
  4. From what I am seeing he would be just the 5th player in franchise history to reach 100 HR and 100 SB!
  5. Thanks! I was just curious and confirmed that my high expectations only made me remember the couple games where he has multiple strikeouts. I really do hope the FO will give him a week or so cup of actual playing time right before Sano returns although I doubt it will happen.
  6. Does anyone know Gordon's strikeout rate? Just seems like he's striking out atleast once a game (but i could only be noticing the games he does because of high expectations). Just wondering if it is alarmingly high, and if so if that is something from keeping the front office from promoting him since we already have people striking out a ton at the MLB level. With all the injuries I'd love to see him get a cup of coffee before Sano comes back, so he knows what he needs to go to triple A and work on.
  7. I get what you're saying and the man has certainly forgot more about baseball than most of us will ever know. With that said I don't think he deserved that last year. I know we went worst to the playoff but I think that had more to do with good play than good managing. In my opinion he was flat out out-managed in the playoff game last year plus im sure plenty more. I don't think I could do a better job than Paul but I do think that they could have found someone better to do the job. That is where any of my complaints come from.
  8. Is our bullpen that bad that we are leaving a guy in that has been getting hit all game to throw 106 pitches? Sadly I know the answer is yes but its just horrible.
  9. I hope the offensive has it in them to not leave it up to the bullpen.
  10. That one had to have stung a bit for the front office.
  11. Anyone know why Toronto's manager got ejected?
  12. Its incredible to see how his fastball just appears to jump out of his hand after an off speed pitch. Gotta be tough for a hitter to try and catch up to.
  13. The Fox Sports app is free as well! Atleast it was for me maybe i got lucky.
  14. Get the Fox Sports GO app on your phone and you can watch it at work! That's what I am currently doing.
  15. Yeah I agree that was definitely part of it, but I am very certain that I read something about him being very popular among the players and that was also part of the reason. But that also very well could have been a cover up. Just hope is leash is a heck of a lot shorter than we all think because I am not a fan.
  16. He was resigned because the players loved him. Now it's time for him to show he can get them to play good baseball again.
  17. I totally agree Mauer should have been brought in, and I also agree that Molitor did a surprising good job with the bullpen today.
  18. To me Morrison is no better at first than Sano is, and even if he is it isn't as large of a gap as Sano and Escobar at 3rd. In my mind Escobar is more athletic and doesn't fall over on that first play and there is an out. Again Escobar is more athletic than Sano and it makes it to that second ball faster. But I'm also probably biased because I really am not fan of Molitor. And on the other hand you also cant have your closer throwing pitches down the middle to a hitter like Sanchez. All around poor effort for all Twins the whole series.
  19. Great defensive switch there. Still blows my mind how a front office can resign a guy for 3 years when he gets out managed in a playoff game, and then the same guy that out managed him goes on the market. Blows. My. Mind. Not a Molitor fan.
  20. Loved the article! I think one of my favorites was his first career walkoff homerun which he celebrated in typical Joe attitude by not getting nearly as excited as most do lol.
  21. I would say go with Reed. Very high leverage situation, and he's been the best so far in my mind. I know its early in the game, but I would feel more comfortable with the other guys starting a new inning with no one on.
  22. I suppose ill take an 8 spot and batting around in the inning.
  23. Lol. yes i meant innings, its always nice to see the Twins run somebody elses starter out early, instead of the other way around.
  24. Maybe we get into the bullpen early here? 80 pitches, bases loaded, and a couple walks.
  25. Gameday says castro struck out swinging, and then says castro out on batter interference. Did something happen or was that just a mistake on their part?
