  1. Bingo. In a vacuum, Cruz brings a impact bat to our lineup but not without the expense of someone else. If Austin has to be dumped for it, it happens, I get it. But I do think people need to understand that there's no way in 2018 baseball you can fit all of those one dimensional pieces onto a roster
  2. "The team is caught in flux, and that's not really anyone's fault so much as just the way things have played out." Injuries are one thing but acting like we got here just by sheer dumb luck is incredibly naive
  3. Being the Minnesota Twins I believe
  4. We may as well be their AAAA team
  5. Can you imagine signing CJ Cron and Jonathan Schoop and legitimately thinking you've done your heavy lifting for the offseason? Good god, this franchise refuses to even try
  6. Yes, from a pure baseball standpoint: it's odd to say because Garver isn't even that great of a catcher (ok offensively, not great defensively) but that is his only value to this team. If he can't catch, there is zero reason for him to be on our roster
  7. Yikes at our middle infield defense between Schoop and Polanco staying at short because of this
  8. I like Ehire as an emergency quadruple-A utility type but banking on anything more than that is asking to be disappointed. I get his player archetype so I mean, yeah it would be nice if he were a better hitter but that's not what really holds him back. It's that his upside is that he's the utility IF at most and you'd expect him to have both a better glove and better pure speed/savvy as a baserunner than he actually has.
  9. I'm curious why should he be at 3B? Why does that have to be his position? Why so opposed to moving him?
  10. Good riddance. How a guy with that skillset lasted on this team that long....
  11. "Today, we examine a club in one of baseball’s worst divisions that is nonetheless seemingly far from contention: the Minnesota Twins."
  12. I'll take one of the best players of his generation in a heartbeat
  13. This is exactly what it signals, that they are planning on rolling with Sano at 3B to start...
  14. Nothing like adding another non-versatile, remotely average offensively right-handed 1B/DH type to the roster
  15. I have the bad feeling that Reed has elbow issues as well and probably has fired most of his "good bullets." We will know pretty quickly next year how his arm is holding up too. Management needs to be honest with themselves and know they can't bank on him being reliable for the 2019 season
  16. I think Gray is a pretty obvious bounceback candidate and the Yankees are basically just looking for any excuse to deal him. If the price is right (aka pretty low in terms of prospects), sure I'd give him a shot. But they still need to do more either way.
  17. The #OneOfUs fans are going to be crushed
  18. LOL people took that Morosi tweet hook, line and sinker.
  19. Insert Money Laundering reference from Office Space here
  20. Put yourselves in the seat as Arizona GM. Would you honestly take this deal?
