  1. The kind of pitching performance that lends itself to the creation of new ways to describe futility. "Hey, how did it go today?". Reply: " Bad, a total Shoemaker".
  2. No. And . . . no.
  3. Its just a theory. There are as many or more arm injuries today, even with pitching less innings.
  4. I heard the golfing was good.
  5. Rocco would have pulled Civale 2 innings ago.
  6. Gardy would have started him a game.
  7. The main drawback of being a Minnesota sports fan are the Minnesota sports teams.
  8. The Twins didn't deserve to win this game, and found a way to accomplish that, from Rocco on down.
  9. I wonder why they didn't let Gordon get in a game this weekend?
  10. I think the Twins need a rally song for when the going gets tough. I propose "Dance To The Music" by Sly and the Family Stone. We won an all U of M foosball tournament one year using that ploy. He he.
  11. A Tums dispenser installed in the clubhouse.
  12. Polanco says, "give me the change-up, I'll send it downtown."
  13. Geez, why even throw a fastball to any Twins hitters.
  14. C'mon, Garv has had a perfect day; 0-3 with 3 K's.
  15. Side note: KC ( 13-7) took down the Tigers (7-15) today 4-0. Together they totaled 14 hits and 4 walks, no big deal, but it took 319 pitches to complete the 9- inning game. Wow.
  16. Ditto that. Not to mention the late fall football games in freezing rain and snow. We were playing at Roosevelt in a huge rain storm and I got tackled in a deep puddle, face down at the bottom of the pile. I thought I was going to drown. They called the game after the play. Good fun.
  17. I still don't understand why Rocco had Arraez at 3B and Blankenhorn at 2B in that 13-12 disaster game when I think Arraez is better at 2B and Blankenhorn is better at 3B. Both made errors in that inning at their lesser position. Aaargh.
