  1. For the Twins, it's not really "relief" pitching at all. It increases stress. Maybe we should call them Stress Pitchers.
  2. I tried playing "Wind It Up" by the Thompson Twins (say yes to the 80's) for Garver's at bat . . . I guess it didn't help. DFA yourself!
  3. The only efficiency with the Twins is they've given up 13 runs on only 14 hits, very efficient.
  4. I think his ex-Sox teammates felt bad for him, let him get them out ... it's the only explanation.
  5. Watching the Twins this year might be the fun of watching and waiting for the train wreck. One of my morbid fascinations is watching bad teams to see how they will find a way to lose. It becomes kind of funny to me. The Twins might be that team this year. Byron Buxton is a star, but can't stay on the field of play. Astudillo has tremendous bat-to-ball skills and is fun to watch and root for. Nick Gordon was fun while he was here. I miss Billy Martin.
  6. You could always root for the White Sox. Wait . . . what?
  7. Most Right-Handed starters face lefties between 45%-50% of plate appearances.
  8. I thought he injured himself this time running to 1B.
  9. I see Telis is getting some infield play these days, a La Tortuga. Maybe we can populate a complete infield with short, stocky catchers.
  10. Sheez, just tuned in. 9 hits and 2 walks, but only 2 runs? The new Twins way; only score with homers.
  11. <<the sound of me tipping over in my chair>>
  12. Wait a minute. 2 consecutive innings by relievers and no runs scored? Inconceivable.
  13. That 1 in 10 chances of getting a hit was too much for Robles.
  14. Man, the way this season is going it will be called because of rain and we'll be stuck with another 7-inning games doubleheader and blow 'em both.
