  1. I wonder how much the 4 billion dollar sale of the Portland NBA team has to do with the Pohlads taking the team off the table.
  2. One of my favorites as a kid. Wilmer is his correct first name.
  3. Definitely two to watch. I would add Dasan Hill to the list as well.
  4. 1. Jenkins 2. Lee 3. Rodriguez 4. Keaschall 5. Soto 6. Morris 7. K. Culpepper 8. Mercedes 9. Festa 10. Matthews 11. Hill 12. Beltre 13. Cj Culpepper 14. Raya 15. Gonzalez 16. Bohorquez 17. Lewis 18. Winokur 19. Olivar 20. Prielipp
  5. Trevor Richards it is. Underwhelming to say the least. Can’t wait to see what he cost the Twins.
  6. While I can understand wanting to get Miranda out before he gets plunked, commenting about it will probably only get him plunked early today. Also, I cannot find any record of a hitter having back-to-back 5 hit games. He could have been the first.
  7. How do the Twins hitting coaches still have jobs?
  8. Did Ryan pull the zipper up on Maki’s shirt during that mound visit? LOL
  9. There may be some shady people in the Hall, but Rose is probably the worst. Tax evasion, large gambling debts to bookies, he even allegedly ran a child sex ring in Florida every spring. He took a 14 year old girl on road trips with him when he was 32. When he was asked about it he said he thought she was 16. Owing large amounts of money to bookies makes me think he probably threw games as well. It is all mentioned in the Dowd report.
  10. He is a 17 year-old rhp. He pitched in the DSL last year with solid numbers. He pitched three innings today in the FCL. Completed them on 17 pitches, with four strikeouts. So, if you figure 12 pitches minimum for the 4 k’s, he got the other five outs on 5 pitches. Pretty efficient to say the least. One to watch, certainly.
  11. Met him at Yankee stadium in 1972. I called out his name and he looked surprised that someone knew his name. That was the debut game for Dave Goltz, Twins were beaten 6-0. Ray Corbin started for the Twins, and I believe he was leading the league in ERA at the time. Got many autographs that day.
  12. Well done. I will now be using “scuppered” in my everyday conversations.
  13. The pre-draft scouting report on Hall showed his fastball maxing out at 95 MPH. I think the velocity will be there consistently after spending some time in instructs. A very exciting prospect with plus command and changeup.
  14. just having him in the clubhouse is a huge risk.
  15. Babe Ruth is the Unicorn. Ohtani can be the Pegasus. Hard to compare the two really. If Ohtani had played in Ruth’s era, he would be an outfielder only, as Tommy John surgery hadn’t been developed. And who knows, maybe he wouldn’t be able to do that with a bum elbow. On the other hand, Ruth got the vast majority of his at bats against a relatively small number of pitchers ( 8 team league, four starters per team, lots of complete games) compared to Ohtani.
  16. The Mariners need help at first base and second. Maybe Gilbert is available. Peralta / Woodruff / Burnes from the Brewers, or Cease could be possibilities. What kind of commitment would it take to sign Yamamoto? $200-250 mil?
  17. I would protect Camargo, Martin, Salas, ERod, and possibly Olivar.

  19. Personally, I like the fathead by itself best. What part of Indiana will this man cave be in? I’m in Lafayette.
