    Reagan has simply been turned into a mailable deity who gets molded into whatever the occasion calls for for the conservative talking heads. To be fair though, he has probably become more demonized by the left over the last decade than he probably deserves. That's probably mostly reflexive pushback due to the other side making him a golden calf.

    Sanders' words may be the last I ever hear?!? Is that a threat? Man, if Bernie is going to outlive us, the apocalypse is surely upon us. Why bother with this election at all?

    He and his agent couldn't be blind to the Twins assortment of options at his preferred playing positions, they had/have to know that AAA is a very likely possibility.

    I think the Park ranking is pretty solid. His competition isn't great, but if Park put up those numbers in AA or even A ball, we would be going insane with the hype right now. Sure there's a good probability he'll bust, but is it any higher than most teams #3 prospect?

    Just playing Devil's Advocate, because I am cheering for Apple on this one, but the government isn't forcing anyone to give Apple their fingerprints or retinal scans. Frankly before all this stuff happened, I had no clue what things in my phone Apple could or couldn't access; I assumed all of it was open to them.* I'm wondering what would happen if Apple announced right now that they would be complying with the government and their customers had two choices: A ) They can keep their iphones and know that the government has access to their stuff should the government choose to look or B ) They can returns their phone at full refund and their prior data will never be made available to the government I wonder how many non-criminals would actually go with B. And again, just playing Devil's Advocate, I'm team Apple. *I don't read the fine print.

    I think league wide we saw last year that the better physical attributes of young guys trumped the experience of the veterans. Just look at the All Star game, it was almost all made up of guys in their 20s, and if the Twins ranked their pitchers and hitters last year, their performances would line up pretty nearly inverse to their ages. We live in such a technological age that coaches can instruct young players at all levels of the minors much easier. These guys have film, they have detailed scouting reports and they can still watch Tom Emanski videos if need be. Even though they aren't paid like it, minor leaguer's full-time job is baseball, they practice year-round now, it's not like how it used to be. The experience gap has surely been cut from what it was when Nuke LaLoosh got all of his advice from mound visits from Crash and sleeping with his baseball groupie girlfriend.

    Yeah, and it's smart to trash Trump now in the primaries where it will play well with liberals, and then take the high ground and ignore him as much as possible when they go head to head and she needs to convince Independents and the level-headed Republicans who end up going to the polls that she's not childish and petulant like he is.

    And equally frightening. Either way the Republicans cut it, Trump will be on the November ballot even if he's party affiliated or not.

    Trump is a Russian Roulette pull with all six chambers filled. There isn't even a slight chance that he would accomplish anything positive for anyone other than himself.

    Not at all, by all means Apple should try. I just don't like the gloom and doom permeating from this like this is some kind of world changing event. Everything will be exactly the same. It's not like the Washington Generals don't at least TRY to win.

    Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's right, just that this isn't anything new. This is like how an older brother always took your stuff because he was smarter than you and could find where you hid it. Now we got a safe and locked it away from him so now he has to punch is in the nose and take the key to get our stuff. The method is different but the result is the same as it's always been for the last 240 years.

    I'm not very IT inclined so someone will have to help me with this. From what I understand, it's basically the tracking of communications from the device that the FBI wants. Would they have a problem getting this stuff if it was an Android or Blackberry? Is this problem solely due to Apple's superior security? If so, the privacy angle doesn't bother me much because it's not like this is new precedent on the invasion of privacy front if everybody BUT Apple owners can easily get invaded. Whether it's the Patriot Act, wire tapping, going or data mining, the government has always come out on top in the fight for privacy rights. If this is unique to Apple, the only precedent being sent is that the government isn't currently winning this fight. After all, if the terrorists had been sending emails from a PC or using snail mail, they wouldn't have the same security. If the government gets their way with Apple, it's nothing new, we will basically just be where we've always been. Edit: In case I'm not being clear, I'm trying to say that I take issue with the proclamation that the government is setting privacy rights back and this is a new standard of Big Brother overreach. This isn't new, it's exactly how it's always been. The government would have no more access to information than they've always had prior to the iphone. Not that I'm saying that's right, just that this is the same debate we've always had. From a privacy stand point.

    I was also against the Liriano trade saying that it was silly considering that Escobar should be considered the 40th player on the 40 man, meaning he should be first to be DFA'd. And now he's turned into one of my favorites. In the first half of 2016 if he can hit anything close to what he did in the second half the last two years, he might become my favorite.

    I think this is bound to happen though. I mean it will if there is going to be any kind of political competition any more. The Old Guard, never truly gave a crap about social issues, they just paid them lip service as they had demographics to still appease. Those folks they had to appease are now almost entirely with the Tea Party. There is absolutely no reason for the guys who still want to resemble Bush Sr or Bob Dole to cling to these archaic social issues, they can concentrate on the one thing that they really most cared about, fiscal conservatism and leave the social issues at the door.

    This obviously has short term benefits for the Democrats, but I wonder if long term it hurts them a bit. I mean there's no way the Tea Party and the Old Guard Republicans can co-exist in the same party any longer is there? Either Graham, Kasich, McCain, Romney and company are going to have to figure out a way to excommunicate Cruz and the crazies, or the traditional Republicans are going to have to split themselves. So if the party splits, no matter how right of center Graham's group actually is, they are still going to be able to claim the "moderate" mantle as they still will be somewhere between the Far Right and the Democrats. In a three party system, I have to think the one that falls in the middle has to gain some advantage. It would be best for everyone if the party splits and everyone starts labeling Cruz and Trumps various cults as ethnocentric hate groups. Hopefully if everyone marginalizes them, no one will want to join.

    Affleck as Batman doesn't bother me, Superman movies bother me though. That's movies plural. I liked the original with Christopher Reeves, and Man of Steel wasn't bad (well except for the parts that were bad), but Superman really isn't good movie material outside of an origin story + maybe one other film. I mean, the guy was created in the 30's as an indestructible super human with about every super power conceivable. Story telling was considerably simpler when one thinks it's target audience is 12-year-olds and only 12-year-olds. Little did they know. Writers have to go a looooooooooong way to come up with anything close to legit reasons for Superman to be put in peril. That batsuit better be made of Kryptonite or any believable scenario where Batman and Superman would have a fair fight is laughable. And if your only solutions for putting Superman in peril are Kryptonite or comparable aliens, you got about two movies worth of adversity for the guy before you start repeating yourself, and this makes for movie number 2.

    The NFL Network should probably follow suit and make sure that Chris Jones guy who's junk flopped out while he was running the 40 at the NFL combine didn't secretly cut a hole in his pants to show off his goods. What a bunch of BS. Too bad Andrews didn't go public with these demands right away and sue ESPN for defamation or something for even suggesting this. She could get hired anywhere.

    Wow, he must be feeling pressure to pick up Scalia's slack. Not a fan of the implication of his questions. In my city we just lost an officer because my state's backwoods laws allowed a guy convicted of homicide with a firearm to get his guns back after only ten years.

    When someone gets a radar reading on Hughes feel free to report. Velocity surely won't peak yet, but to me, seeing if Hughes' velocity rebounds from last year's troubling 89-91 is going to be an under reported but very important thing to see develop this spring.

    I want to see May as well, but I'm really curious how they plan on evaluating him. They said he'll get a shot at the rotation, but if he's lights out can he actually get the job? Or if he's lights out will they say he's too good to take out of the pen?

    Hunter had a positive UZR and positive UZR/150. Every stat showed a huge improvement over 2014. The guy was 39, he didn't magically get more athletic, it was due to the environment. Even if Sano is not good, it's not going to hurt, he's replacing another poor defender, it's not like the team is significantly downgrading the defense from something that was elite last year.
