  1. Between this and the other thread, I think I may have seen the words "upside" and "potential" enough times to last me a lifetime. Isn't potential just a really, really polite way of saying David McCarty?
  2. I'm kinda surprised by how utterly unsurprised I am by this news. I guess his numbers from last year really were too good to be true.
  3. For irony's sake, I'm going with Plouffe for MVP.
  4. Well, if Buxton had exactly two more hits than he does at the moment, he'd be hitting over .300 this spring (he's currently 8 for 33). Those darn small sample sizes!
  5. This isn't the first time I've seen Escobar cited as a candidate for regression, and, frankly, it confuses me. He's improved his OPS every season he's been with the Twins, and he's still young. Isn't he more likely to get better than get worse?
  6. I absolutely hate the idea of May being relegated to the bullpen another season, but I also think Milone - Starter/May - Bullpen helps this team more than May - Starter/Milone - Bullpen.
  7. Ah, thank you. I've been a happy Twins Daily lurker forever, but this eventful (so far) offseason made me want to join in a bit.
  8. I don't necessarily see Hicks flaking out Knoblauch-style, but New York is probably a VERY bad fit for him. Time will tell, I guess.
