The Minnesota Twins shutout the Phillies Sunday afternoon thanks to a stellar start from Sonny Gray and a bend-but-don't-break bullpen. Jordan Luplow homered and Jorge Polanco had a pair of run-scoring hits. The win meant the Twins also won the weekend series in Philadelphia. Minor League highlights include Royce Lewis, Austin Martin, Alex Isola, Jorel Ortega and more.

The Minnesota Twins snapped their losing streak, beating the Phillies 8-1 Saturday night. Pablo Lopez pitched a gem, delivering six shutout innings, and Joey Gallo hit two of the Twins four homers on the night. Tonight's minor league highlights feature Yunior Severino, Yoyner Fajardo, Carson McCusker and more. -

The Minnesota Twins were embarrassed by the Phillies but there were signs of hope on the horizon in St. Paul. After a long rain delay, both Royce Lewis and Brooks Lee hit home runs for the Saints. Alerick Soularie had a big day for Wichita. Emmanuel Rodriguez homered for Cedar Rapids but, because we can't have nice things, he was also removed from the game after colliding with the wall making a great catch. View full video

Kenta Maeda had another great start but with the lineup mustering just two singles it didn't matter much. Trevor Larnach, who has an OPS north of .900 during his time with the Saints, hit another home run in St. Paul. Ben Ross hit his 15th homer of the year for the Kernels. All that plus some bonus discussion on the Twins hitting with runners in scoring position, their approach at the plate and a bit on how opponents are adjusting to Jhoan Duran. View full video

New arrivals Yunior Severino and Brooks Lee played first and third base, respectively. It was Severino's first game at first base and Lee's second start at third base. Also, Jair Camargo and Dalton Shuffield hit homers.

Also, Trevor Larnach and Yunior Severino hit a couple of the longest Saints homers of the season and Chris Williams blasted a grand slam. In Double-A, Pierson Ohl delivered eight excellent innings for the Wind Surge.

Down in the minors, Yunior Severino continued his tear Saturday, blasting a pair of homers. That gave him six home runs in a five-game stretch and 24 total on the season. Also featured are a couple of pitching debuts: Jaylen Nowlin's Double-A debut with Wichita and Andrew Morris' High-A debut for Cedar Rapids.
