The Minnesota Twins beat the Mets 5-2 behind some lucky devil magic typically only reserved for the likes of Cleveland. There was nothing lucky about the home run Carlos Correa hit, though, a 114-mph shot that landed in the upper deck. Simeon Woods Richardson pitched a great game and Gilberto Celestino hit an inside-the-park homer for the Saints. Willie Joe Garry Jr. stole the go-ahead run in the ninth inning for the Wind Surge. Kala'i Rosario hit his Midwest League leading 21st home run for Cedar Rapids. That and more in tonight's recap.

The Minnesota Twins clobbered Cleveland 20-6 to open a huge series. Royce Lewis dealt the Guardians a knockout blow in the second inning with a grand slam that capped an incredible two-out rally for the Twins. Ryan Jeffers, Willi Castro, Edouard Julien and Jorge Polanco did an incredible job of keeping the line moving to get to Royce in that situation. Pablo López delivered another quality start, holding Cleveland to one run over six innings.

The Minnesota Twins announced shortly before Monday’s game Bailey Ober has been optioned to the minor leagues. The corresponding move is left-hander Kody Funderburk is heading up to the Twins. The Minnesota Twins won on a walk-off walk in the 13th inning Sunday, taking the series from Texas 3-1. It was ugly, sure, but for as inept they looked at certain times they overall showed fortitude. The big blow came from a Royce Lewis grand slam but it was the bullpen that continued to provide chance after chance to the lineup. Dallas Keuchel and four relievers provided nine innings of one-run ball (and it was unearned) after starter Bailey Ober exited the game. The Minnesota Twins came from behind to beat the Rangers 7-5 Thursday night at Target Field. Ryan Jeffers gave the Twins the lead with a pinch hit home run, the team's fifth homer of the game.
